I'm a gamer with more decades of RPG experience than I'd care to admit. I've played and GMed a lot of different games and enjoy being on both sides of the screen.
I like everything from epic tales to contained one-shots. I've started leaning heavily to a PC-driven game style, where character backstories shape the campaign and I minimize the planning of each session. I've been embracing a "play to see what happens" style, where I'll have a rough notion of where the story will go if the PCs don't get involved and am ready to ad-lib changes when the characters interact with the plot. It's a fast-and-loose style that's been working very well for me.
I should really describe my playstyle.
