I am a 31 year old gamer and writer. I love to tell epic, expansive stories in all different formats. My goal is to create worlds that my readers can lose themselves in. That being the case, Play-By-Post RPGs are my bread and butter both as a player and as a GM.
A sample of my writing style as-well as my adaptability in story telling can be seen in my submissions to Reddit's WritingPrompts sub: https://www.reddit.com/r/TysonK/
Besides being a gamer, I'm also an avid Star Wars fan, and have been since I was a child. As a child (and I have to admit as an adult too), I often dreamt of being transported to the Star Wars Galaxy. The FFG Star Wars RPG finally gave me an opportunity to do that - and not just be a part of the world, but actually shape the world!
I'm first and foremost a story teller. But I don't just tell the story that I want to tell (which would result in railroading my players), instead I believe in creating a world for my players to tell their characters' story in. I provide the world, the surroundings, the challenges, and the adventures, and together we shape epic stories.
Because my favorite story-telling medium is text, I exclusively GM Play-By-Post games. This gives both myself and my players the opportunity to play whenever we want! No schedules getting in the way of playing, no missing players from sessions, no week long hiatuses. My players get to play all day, every day if they want. Whenever they have time to check their phone; they can play.
It goes without saying that my games are not player vs GM, but player with GM. That doesn't mean that I coddle my players either, but rather that I provide appropriate challenges (in all of the forms that challenges can come in) that will provide fun while also providing a sense of accomplishment.
I should really describe my playstyle.
