Days of the Week:
I've been gaming since 3.5 was new and got in with an old school group that did AD&D and 2.0 fairly often. Since then I've dabbled in several smaller games, Castles and Crusades and Pendragon being the two most prevalent, though I've made characters at least for a dozen others.
I enjoy letting my players decide what story they want to tell, I'm all about offering plot thread after plot thread and seeing which ones my players pick up. I also give out loads of "loot" in the form of fun equipment, chunks of gems and metal, and favors from otherworldly beings. Things can be as serious and grim or as cheerful and silly as the players want. I consider myself to be doing a great job DMing if the players are 'in-character' spending minutes of real time roleplaying together, whether that includes the NPCs or not.
I enjoy an underdog. A character who is overcoming a character flaw to be beneficial to the party. I also enjoy forming in-character relations and role playing social situations.
